The dual ends secure pastry dough into large and small baking pans, and neatens the edges for impressive results. Simply place the dough into a tart pan, dust the tamper end with flour, and press the dough evenly into the bottom and sides of the pan. You will find it useful to press puff pastry, phyllo dough, graham cracker crusts and more into tart or pie pans. It is also helpful for pressing cookie dough for shortbread cookies, pecan sandies and more. With a larger end and a smaller end, it works perfectly in large and small baking pans.
