Description
The Spaetzle Maker quickly and efficiently makes dozens of perfectly formed dumplings in a single action. Spaetzle are softer egg noodles or dumplings (a hearty European egg dumpling) most commonly associated with German food and may be served in place of pasta, rice or potatoes. This tool forms the tender little dumplings in a consistent size to cook evenly. Simply form the dough and place a piece into the hopper. Set the base of the maker on a lightly floured surface or directly over a boiling pot of water, then glide the hopper along the cutting surface to create the spaetzle.
A true comfort food, spaetzle may be served with applesauce; a simple sauce of butter, sugar, cinnamon or nutmeg; cheese, herbs, spices, spinach; or mixed with cherries or apples. Serve it as a side to chicken, beef, veal, or add to soups or stews.
