Riedel’s Veloce line features a modern glass with perfect balance and feel, suggesting a handmade glass. Yet it is produced by machine, using state-of-the-art technologies, with a lighter and finer profile that one would expect from a handmade glass. There is also a base inscription of each recommended grape variety. The diamond shape of this champagne glass allows a wide range of aromatics to unfold with the extreme angles offering more space to develop aromas. The wider bowl allows complex layers to grow and intensify more than a flute shape does. The larger rim diameter means they are released in a way not achieved with a narrow glass. There is also a ‘sparkling point’ to aid the formation of champagne bubbles. Perfect for champagne, Prosecco, Blanc de Blancs, Franciacorta, sparkling wines, and Sekt.
