Burlap and Barrel’s Cayenne powder is the heirloom varietal Arapaho, grown by Fire Tongue Farm in Hollister, CA. The peppers are picked at full maturity, sun dried and then ground. This powder is hot without being overpowering, having a sweeter backbone and slightly gentler bite than other Cayennes. Use it to add heat to salsa, soups, stews, beans, roasted veggies, and eggs.
