An electric kettle is handy for heating water for tea, French press coffee, instant soups and hot chocolate, preparing yeast, and couscous. The Capresso Glass water kettle is made of German-made Schott heat resistant glass with a stainless steel dome covering the highly efficient concealed heating element. Ounce and cup markings are on the kettle for easy filling. It has a 48 ounce (6 cup) capacity and a cool-touch handle with a secure grip. The heating unit (1500 watts) is very efficient, boiling water faster than a stove top kettle, and shuts off automatically when water has reached a boil. If there is no water in the kettle, boil dry protection turns off the unit.
